You don’t need to travel to experience the oceans of the world. Come to Hestercombe and see 365 samples of the world's seas showcased in glass bottles! They form the centrepiece of a solo show by West Country based Tania Kovats, the second exhibition at the new Hestercombe Gallery. The show explores how we experience and engage with landscape and with the sea. Kovats uses the natural world as both her subject and material. ‘Oceans’ presents a selection of her work made between 1993 and 2014 alongside a brand new piece created especially for Hestercombe. All the works explore landscape, how we think about it, and how we experience it.
